This has to be my all time favorite episode. I’ve had countless day dreams of the day I’ll actually follow in the awesome footsteps of Sir George and do the exact opposite of what I’d actually do.
There’s a funny story I’m about to tell you. Yes, tie your shoelaces, keep tray tables and seat backs in their up right and locked positions: it’s about to get funky.

True Story: We have these personality tests at my office (we do a bit of recruiting and placement for other companies we consult with). The version we use is DISCUS.
I took the first phrase based test answering questions as I present myself right now – even though I go against my instinct a great amount of time. The results: 95% compatibility as a driving instructor. What The F***?
The second test I took I answered the exact same questions as if I was the bad ass I always dreamed of being. The result: Almost completely polar opposite! 90% compatibility with a GM or Director (my current position. lol) And anyone who knows me knows I didn’t get that position because of my ta-ta’s. Baby girl is lean.
So, this confirmed that if I did the opposite actions of what I’d do now, I’d rule that place! George Costanza had it right.
My challenge to you:
1) Take a free online personality profile.
a) Do the first one as honestly as possible to how you act now – not how you want to react
b) Do the second one and answer the OPPOSITE of your previous questions – no matter if it’s against how you feel or think. It’s just to see how you may be perceived if you follow the opposite path.
I can’t wait to hear about how you’ve executed “Opposite Day” to break out of your comfort zone. And if you only take the tests, does the “George Costanza” in you illuminate a more fun path?
Let me know how the adventure goes.
