I usually do a post of one individual that redefines their experience; however, this week I was inspired by more than a few.
Here’s a summary of a couple of people who piqued my interest and opened my eyes.
Why are these guys different? They observed a staple of their everyday environment and had an off beat idea on what could make it more fun and interesting. Not only that, they did something 95% of people do not do: THEY ACTED ON IT.
#1) The guys who pranked the Astor Cube in New York City. You can click here to read about the experience from start to finish and see many more pics.
The adventure idea was to turn a sculpture created in the 1960’s into a Rubiks Cube. After hours in the wee morning assembling the Rubiks cube, it only stayed up for about a day before the grafitti and vandals had their way. Impermanence comes to all things and I can only imagine how many smiles were put on the New Yorker’s faces during morning and evening rush hours.

#2) Teenager makes prom dress out of coffee filters:
It takes something more than attitude to pull of a gentle moxie the way this young lady does. Aimee Kick from Missouri, US, created this dress made entirely of coffee filters in a month. Click Here to read the original post by the Fashion Police. What an amazing and creative way to express yourself. And it looks quite good!
High School can be a great experience for many. (OK – , that’s BS. High School was F’in hard! Some people do have a great experience but it’s tough to get over jello in your hair and pranks in Spanish class cause you just happened to put on mismatched socks that one day. However, I digress. And I’m sure it was more than one day)
The point is, there are ways to stand out and encourage creativity. RTE thinks Aimee has done just that.
Kudos to your pixie self.
