I first learned of Geocaching about 5 years ago – before personal GPS or GPS on a phone was a common item. I have to admit – I got frustrated easily. I wanted my first “treasure hunt” experience to be a fun one. (i.e., one that I didn’t have to work too hard.)
I’m ready to try again however and I’d like to invite you and your family.
Go to Geocaching.com. On the front page is a box to enter your zip code – no need to register! Start the hunting from there.
What a great FREE activity that families can do together. With technology changing and becoming more accessible, this is definitly an outdoor adventure even the city dwellers can have fun exploring.

Keep in mind that Geocaching is not just for the rugged wilderness. There are countless caches in Urban areas as well. (Well not COUNTLESS but you get my drift.)
The adventure challenge is to find a cache close to you, check it out and take a pic. Who will you take with you?
